Meet Marie.

My name is Marie Claude Jackson, and I started TrueCare Home & Transportation LLC because I believe that everyone — every senior, every person living with a disability, every family trying to do their best — deserves care that is truly caring.

For years, living and working in the Metro Atlanta community, I watched families struggle in silence. I saw seniors who needed help at home but couldn't find caregivers they could truly trust. I saw individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities who deserved real support, real connection, and real opportunities to participate in their communities — but weren't getting them. And I saw people miss doctor appointments, dialysis sessions, and therapy visits simply because they had no reliable way to get there.

These weren't isolated stories. This was a pattern. And the more I saw it, the more I felt something stir inside me — a quiet but persistent voice that said: someone needs to do something about this. Why not you?

So I decided it would be me.

I threw myself into learning everything I could. I completed the Direct Support Professional I (DSP I) certification through the University of Georgia — earning an 88% on my exam — because I believed that if I was going to serve individuals with disabilities, I needed to truly understand their needs, their rights, and the person-centered principles that should guide every interaction. I earned my CPR and Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association because the people in my care deserve someone who is prepared for anything.

I didn't take shortcuts. I built TrueCare the right way — LLC approved, EIN secured, NPI obtained, policies written, insurance in place, licensing in progress. Because the families who trust TrueCare with their loved ones deserve a provider who did the work before asking for their trust.

I also carry with me the perspective of someone who understands what it means to start with nothing and build something real. Growing up, I learned that hard work, integrity, and genuine care for people are the foundations of everything worth building. Those values are woven into every policy, every form, and every interaction at TrueCare.

TrueCare is not just a business to me. It is my purpose. It is the way I give back to the community that welcomed me. It is proof that one person, with enough heart and enough determination, can create something that makes a real difference in people's lives.

When a TrueCare caregiver sits with a senior who hasn't had a real conversation all day — that matters. When a TrueCare driver gets someone to their dialysis appointment on time, safely, with a warm greeting — that matters. When a person with a disability gets support that truly sees them as a person first — that matters more than I can put into words.
